we will explore the rich parallels and unique contributions of Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP), two powerful approaches to working with trauma, attachment, and developmental wounding.
While IFS focuses on inner parts and the healing presence of the Self, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy offers a body-oriented framework to access implicit memory, regulate the nervous system, and support integration through movement, posture, and sensation.
We’ll look at how both models:
Support healing through non-pathologizing, trauma-informed lenses
Facilitate inner dialogue and differentiation between adult and child parts
Address adaptive strategies and relational patterns, not just traumatic events
Help clients build internal secure attachment and embodied self-leadership
Clinical examples and experiential elements will illustrate how these two approaches can inform and enrich one another. Whether you're trained in one or both models—or are simply curious—this webinar offers an opportunity to deepen your understanding of how to support healing through both parts and body.
