Dear SP Graduates,
In SP, we understand that dissociative parts are not only psychological but are also lived and organized in the body.
Join SP Trainers, Lisa Stokkeland and Marko Punkanen, on Thursday, May 21st, for a 90-minute session exploring:
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy for Complex Trauma: Fostering Embodied Safety
Thursday, May 21, 2026 | 11:00am-12:30 pm Central Time
Online | Via SPI Professional Association (SPIPA)
This session centers on the embodied mapping of parts and the cultivation of somatic safety in clinical practice. Through both conceptual understanding and experiential orientation, participants will deepen their ability to perceive and respond to the body’s expressions of trauma.
Together, we will discuss:
- How different parts are reflected in posture, movement, and autonomic states
- Ways to support titration and stabilization when working somatically
- How mindful awareness can foster communication and connection within the system
This is an invitation to refine perception, to notice what is already unfolding in the body, and to work with it in ways that support safety and agency.
We would be glad to have you! Join SPIPA today: sensorimotorpsychotherapy.org/spipa-world-wide
Warmly,
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute Professional Association (SPIPA)
